Santi, California-On Tuesday, just a day after a plane crash in Santi destroyed their first home, newlyweds Cody and Cody Campbell burst into tears, hoping they could Find Cody's wedding ring in the rubble.

He has been wearing a black rubber ring and put his other ring in their house.

"It would be great to get it back, but in the end, this is the most important thing," Courtney Campbell said.

Then the next day in their five-month-old home, the couple screened the ashes and debris until they finally found Cody's wedding ring. It was burnt black, but it was all one piece.

Courtney wrote on Instagram: "We are speechless. The same intact, soaked, and now completely imperfect. Cody wrote to me on our wedding day with a photo of us."

As the text of the letter seeps into their photos, the couple plans to frame it.

They also found wedding gifts and cards and a bronze placard of "The Campbells". Their original wedding date was December 6, 2020, but it was postponed to May 2, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Although it is a blessing to find a wedding ring, because these things are irreplaceable," said Jackie Elias, a neighbor who lives on the street behind Campbell's house on Jeremy Street.

Elias said she was happy that the couple could find the little ring in all the destruction.

Elias said: "It's amazing. It's a miracle in itself, yes, they found the wedding ring or found anything in the process, it's just a blessing," Elias said. She said that the plane crash shook her home, and she and her three sons thought it was an earthquake.

Cody and Courtney took a picture of the rest of their house and said, "It reminds us how grateful we are here."
